Q. Is Reach affiliated with an existing homeschool group or a church?

A. No, we are an independent, student-led organization striving to provide resources and opportunities for all homeschoolers in the greater Charlotte area.

Q. Is Reach for homeschoolers in Charlotte proper?

A. We hope for Reach to be accessible to the greater Charlotte area including Ballantyne, Matthews, North Charlotte, and Indian Land, but we understand that the distance could make that difficult for some. For those that cannot come to the clubs or seminars, we hope the website resources will help, and we will continue to try and list opportunities throughout greater Charlotte.

Q. How do the community service projects work?

A. This is still in development, but we hope to compile a SignUpGenius with 3-4 opportunities available each month to different places at different times. If you have ideas for where a group of 10 students could serve, please contact us.

Q. Why did you see the need for Reach when there are many options for homeschoolers in Charlotte and online?

A. While there are many options and resources, we felt (especially nearing college application season) that there were opportunities we wished we had access to and information that either took extensive time to find, was communicated by word of mouth, or was hard to keep in one collective place. We want to create a community of like-minded homeschoolers with leadership opportunities and the resources that we wanted to have a few years ago all in one collective place.
